作家ステートメント
頭の中にかたちが溢れてきます。
そのかたちに実際に触れてみたくて作っています。
それが何なのか、どこから出てきたのか、自分でも分からないことがあります。
一体なんなんだろうと思うこともありますが、作らずにはいられないのです。
髪の毛を生やす作業はしんどいし、少し気持ち悪いです。
じゃあ生やさなくていいのにと思うこともありますが、生やさずにはいられないのです。
そうしてできたものたちを、私は愛さずにはいられないのです。
All the shapes flow into my head and I make them into reality because I want to actually touch them.
I don’t even know what they are and where they’re coming from.
But I can’t help making them.
Putting hair on them is a tough work and a little gross even to me.
You may say “then don’t put hair on them”, but I can’t help.
And I can’t help loving them.
